Symbols have become archetypes and icons because they represent knowing that transcends time and culture. Memory calls back to ancient fire circles and drums, as they convey images and shapes reaching into a deeper realm than the surface of our waking consciousness.

Symbols have been interpreted throughout history over millennia and have been twisted and subjugated to support the reigning authority of church or royalty. Hidden meanings, carefully preserved in the Middle Ages, provided the understanding that brought our society into the next age.

Vagaries of brutal conquerors and the unpredictable outcomes of wars have added mystery and layers of subtle inference to images that carry many layers of meaning and interpretation. Debate swells over simple lines that carry the burden of past misunderstandings. The time has come to allow the symbols to speak for themselves.

This series is based on traditional symbols that have been used for generations and hold specific meanings. The difference is that, while the meanings that have become the common interpretation are acknowledged, there is an invitation to come to a deeper connection with the secret, hidden knowledge that lives within each of us. The cellular memory that speaks to the blood in our veins and answers the heartbeat that echoes in our ancestors.  Their voices now play against the backdrop of shadows dancing in the firelight of our legacy. It is time to listen.

Evolving Friendship

In the complex process of navigating the concept of true friendship, there are landmines hidden, it seems, in nearly every moment. Looking for the gift of 'mutual presence', it becomes evident that understanding, communication, non-judgment and many other qualities are needed to nurture a relationship into the trust and love realm of true friendship.

Looking for ways to strengthen and empower an acquaintance to move into a place of deep and lasting friendship, not only requires a brutally honest examination of personal motives but also a deep analysis of the vulnerabilities of the individuals involved and their personal awareness and relationship to Source Energy.

Finding a resting place for this kind of love can be satisfying and nurturing, especially if both parties can be the kind of friend needed. Co-dependence is a pitfall that is present in nearly every interaction if both parties are not coming from a place of healing and completely clear about the parameters of the core connection they have mutually established. Moments of silence in peaceful harmony - the reward of honesty and transparency while negotiating the foundation of a true friendship-based relationship

The enrichment and blooming of a relationship over time and experience can be a journey enhanced by moments of thoughtfulness and respect. Surprise kindnesses or gestures of deep regard enhance the trust and emotional connection as understanding and appreciation grow in response.

This is the potential 'ideal' as it presents in two conscious and aware beings willing to co-create a wonderful and fully intentional relationship based on a true and loving friendship. It seems every day there are more people becoming aware of this possibility and discovering ways to enjoy and sustain this kind of friendship. However, there are also a myriad of other possibilities when dealing with the infinite variety of personalities inhabiting this reality. Lessons abound as the cycle continues endlessly spiraling. We bring our old patterns of behavior and survival skills into each attempt at a relationship as long as the issues remain unexamined and unhealed. The opportunity to explore and resolve this 'baggage' is the gift of every interaction and the intention of many of those eager to elevate their energy to a higher frequency as the light of the Unified Field of Pure Potential beckons.

Navigating the landmines in the initial tentative steps, both parties agree to show up, engage and stay present and honest in the day to day and even momentary interactions they share. The realization that must occur to both is that here is a great opportunity for growth if they are willing to go through the process of discovering what is workable and fulfilling and what is disempowering and serves to limit possible growth within the evolving relationship. With this established, the connection can become stronger and based on mutual understanding and even greater trust to hold the other's highest experience as the priority for both. 

The next step in the process is to come to an alignment of vision and values. Nothing is required, but the greater the resonance, the more powerful and immediate the manifestation of intention. Coming into the right relationship with this level of contact with another is a transcendent step to greater consciousness and will be positively experienced by those willing to become open to a greater influx of energy which can be disorienting. This is especially true if the parties are unfamiliar with the effects of intense higher frequencies on the body and mind/heart coherence. Quantum leaps in comprehension are the norm as greater understanding increases exponentially with experience and practice.

Our culture and society have not prepared us for the ongoing journey of discovery inherent in the most basic of friendships. When there are complexities of unresolved trauma and other issues, it is much more challenging to discover and develop a safe, common ground in which to connect and relate. However, the results can be well worth the effort required.

No matter the outcome, or the struggle, or the loss, there is much to celebrate and honor in this experience. Nothing can bring greater comprehension to the complexity of relating openly and honestly than the fiery crucible of higher consciousness and the relentless polishing drum of experience. Whether there is physical intimacy or merely a strong heart connection, the result can shine as a beacon at the destination of a long journey creating and defining the kind of relationship that offers unlimited mutual support and personal growth.

The long and winding road has led to a place of open-ended possibilities as the relationship has been configured to the mutual agreement and endorsement of both parties with the objective being the intentional expression of a higher purpose as the friendship unfolds and grows organically, nurturing the relationship in a deeply profound way that supports the evolution of true friends.
